HAVERHILL CASES

"THE DA JUMPED UP AND DOWN TRYING TO CONVICT ME
BUT JOE WON."
KEN:   978 239 2804

First I admitted to the Trooper I had 2 beers; then I told him 4. The Police Report said  I had slurred speech, glassy eyes, was unsteady, failed  to touch my finger at the spot he told me to, couldn't keep my foot up for 30 seconds, didn’t walk heel to toe like he showed me, and couldn’t say the alphabet. In other words, I failed all the field tests. As an experienced Mass DUI Lawyer, Joe told me I could win anyway and advised we go to Trial. He did a fantastic job.

He also beat the Brake Lights Violation so nothing went on my driving record at all.

“HE'S THE BEST MASSACHUSETTS DWI ATTORNEY.
YOU’RE OUT OF YOUR MIND NOT TO HIRE HIM."
ANDREW:  978 380 0858

I was charged with my 3rd offense and faced a mandatory jail sentence. On the very first date Joe's in Court, he convinces the DA to charge me only as a second offender. Then, when we get in front of the Judge, he convinces her to treat me as a first offender AND waive the mandatory $1000 fine. Instead of potential jail and an 8 year license loss, now I can get my license back. Even the Judge said, "You made a very good argument, Counselor."

He's the best drunk driving lawyer you'll find in Massachusetts.

5 YR. REFUSAL
SUSPENSION LIFTED
MITCH 781-929-9509

I was arrested for my third offense. On his first day in court with me, Joe reduced my bail by $3000. Then he convinced a judge to overturn my 5 year suspension for refusing the breath test. I was then able to drive legally awaiting trial making my life much easier.

COP CLAIMED I SAID "I'M DRUNK"
JURY: NOT GUILTY
MITCH 781-929-9509
On his very first day in court Joe reduced my bail by $3000 and came prepared with a written motion to the Haverhill police department to order them to preserve my booking video. Next he convinced a judge to overturn my 5 year suspension for refusing the breath test. Now I was driving legally again awaiting trial. At trial, he argued that I looked so good on the video I never would have told the cop I was drunk. The jury asked to see the video a second time then acquitted me three minutes later. He saved me from a felony conviction, mandatory jail and 13 years with no license.

'He saved my job of 33 years and my pension.'

3rd OFFENSE REDUCED TO 2ND: NO 6 MONTH JAIL TERM
My client blew an over limit .15 breathalyzer after a bad accident. Charged with his third offense, he faced a mandatory jail sentence of at least six months and an 8 year loss of license. I stressed to the DA that his 2 priors were from out of state and the Commonwealth would have a difficult time proving my client was the same man convicted there. The DA immediately agreed with me and reduced the charge. Result: No jail time.

COLLEGE GRAD WHO COULDN'T RECITE ALPHABET ACQUITTED

A summa cum laude UMass grad was speeding 87 mph in a 65 mph zone, couldn't say the alphabet and failed all four field sobriety tests. Then the cop testified he had crossed the center line by "a foot and a half" for "10 to 12 seconds" at least "two to three times." On cross exam, I asked him to underline the sentences in his Report where he recorded any of those assertions. Not even one was in his Report and he lost all credibility with the Judge.

OUI: Not Guilty
Lanes Violations:  Not Responsible

JUDGE: "I RESPECT YOUR LAWYER. HE KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING"
"I was in a panic about an OUI and had a Court appearance the next morning. Joe called me back just 2 minutes after I emailed him - on July 4th no less. Sure enough he met me at the Courthouse the next day and got the best result I could have hoped for and a compliment from the Judge on his professionalism [above]. I totally recommend him."

(After jury retired to deliberate in 2nd offense trial)

"That was a masterful job, Attorney Waldbaum. I wish some of the other lawyers had been in this Court room to watch you. They would have learned a lot."
